The foliage and the vegetation sway slowly in the wind, moving at two speeds, both of which are unnatural: that of the vegetation (which is the slowest with respect to normal) and that of the rose, which blooms in the span of just a few minutes (much faster than real time) but whose flowering belongs to a broader and more rarefied time. I am interested in narrating the drama and lightness of a moment through the movement of elements that can be transported by the wind, even if it is forced and unnatural. It is as though the wind’s lament, its tossing and turning, and its inability to subside take on form through the vegetation.
