The spaces of Manfredi Beninati's installations are inaccessible to the viewer and can only be visited through dark glass, a door, or a crack in a wall. The intimate remains intimate, emphasizing a distance between different levels of reality and creating an insurmountable barrier between what has happened and what the viewer is shown.
