[The photographs in the] Dono di luce (2005) series provide opportunities for a hybrid social investigation conducted with the lightness and irony of fiction itself. From one shot to the next (...), the classic figures of religious processions stream by, adorned in sacred costumes and abandoned to ecstatic airs.

(...) It is the comical detail, however, that betrays the deception, reawakening the truth of a masked present: a pair of jeans under a tunic, two sneakers under a cape, someone parading nearby in casual clothes. Small strategic moves transform the reportage into poetry, the recording of the given through the construction of a scene, challenging the logic of truth with the pleasure of dissimulation.
